First Assembly is a church who loves to worship God in many different ways and with great freedom. If you have been attending with us for 3 months or longer, we welcome you to be a part of the worship team as a vocalist, musician, sound technician or graphics operator. Application forms and auditions are available by request.

ABOUT US
We, as the worship and arts community of First Assembly have a mandate to above all minister to the Lord with our gifts, not just at our gatherings but in our every day life. We are committed to living a life that will always "Remember the Poor," not falling into the trap of bringing offerings of praise without living out our words, (Amos 5, Isaiah 58). We crave personal spiritual growth through solitude, the study of scriptures and through prayer. We aim to serve our community of Christ followers joyfully, putting other's needs above our own in love. We are friends, there for each other in the good times and bad. We are a community of musicians and artists who are passionate about "excellence" not so that we can put on a good "show," but so that we can make God the focus of our gatherings without unnecessary distraction. Although we are committed to the "local" church, we also think "global" knowing that we are to go into all nations with the good news of Christ, serving with our talents. We are fervent in our desire to plant other communities of worship in and around our city, raising up other Christ centred musicians and artists. Finally, we are called to "sing a new song," writing songs and producing CD's that will encourage believers in Calgary and abroad.
We currently have three campuses in the Calgary area (the Main Campus on Elbow Drive, Freedom House and Kensington Church of Hope) and are about to plant a church in beautiful Canmore! Canmore is one of my favorite towns in the world. Nothing compares to the majestic mountains of one of Canada's appealing towns and I can hardly wait to lift a spiritual song in that setting. We are always looking for new musicians and if you have been attending one of our campuses for three or more months, we would love to hear your heart and set up an audition.
